Mobile numbers in the Philippines with the prefix 0973 or +63971 were originally assigned to Sun Cellular. However, due to the implementation of the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) law, users can now switch networks while retaining their original mobile numbers. This means that, although a number begins with the 0973 prefix, it might no longer be under Sun Cellular.
